Competitors' and Judges' Aerobatic Schedule

(A)

 Call start for each manoeuvre. Failing to call Start or Finish will be downgraded.

IW - into Wind                    DW - Down Wind

  1. IW Take Off. Take off in the correct manner, perform a rectangular circuit and ‘overfly the take off area, but beyond the line of the runway’ below 20ft

  2. DW Fly down wind Straight and Level (call and fly for 5 seconds)

  3. IW Two Consecutive Rolls into wind, rotating Away from the flight line, centred in front of the Judges.

  4. DW One Slow Roll down wind, rotating Away from the flight line, centred in front of the Judges.

  5. IW Two Inside Loops, centred in front of the Judges. Loops are to be the same size.

  6. DW One Outside Loop, i.e. a Bunt, centred in front of the Judges

  7. IW Figure of Eight with the crossover centred in front of the Judges.

  8. DW Inverted Straight and Level (call and fly for 5 seconds)

  9. IW Stall turn on Centre Line. Vertical, ¼ roll on the up leg with the TOPSIDE of the aircraft to face the Judges, stall turn into wind, ¼ roll on the down leg, exit upright

  10. IW Three Turn Spin on centre line

  11. IW Rectangular Circuit with Aborted Landing (not a low pass – below 10’). It should be seen that the model would have landed if not aborted correctly

  12. IW Rectangular Circuit and Land, Touch down in front of the Judges

Thank the Judges, recover the model correctly, take a deep breath, remove tie-wraps, then go and have a cup of coffee.

(B and E)

Call start for each manoeuvre. Failing to call Start or Finish will be downgraded.

IW - into Wind                              DW - Down Wind 

  1. IW Take Off. Take off in the correct manner, perform a rectangular circuit and ‘over fly the take off area, but beyond the line of the runway’ below 20ft

  2. DW Fly down wind Straight and Level (call and fly for 5 seconds)

  3. IW Three Consecutive Rolls into wind, rotating Away from the flight line, centred in front of the Judges.

  4. DW One Slow Roll down wind (minimum of 4 seconds), rotating Away from the flight line, centred in front of the Judges

  5. IW Two Inside Square Loops, centred in front of the Judges. Loops are to be same size

  6. DW Two Outside Loops, i.e a Bunt, centred in front of the Judges. Loops are to be same size

  7. IW Cuban Eight, With the crossover 1/2 roll (or buttered baguette at the pilot's choice) centred in front of the Judges

  8. DW Inverted Straight and Level, Then One Complete Roll, Returning to Inverted Straight and Level. Roll to be centred in front of the Judges (call and fly for 5 seconds)

  9. IW Stall turn on Centre Line. Vertical, ¼ roll on the up leg with the UNDERSIDE of the aircraft to face the Judges, stall turn into wind, ¼ roll on the down leg, exit upright

  10. IW Two Turn Spin on centre line. (Entry and exit to be inverted)

  11. IW Rectangular Circuit with Aborted Landing, (not a low pass – below 10’). It should be seen that the model would have landed if not aborted correctly

  12. IW Rectangular Circuit and Land, Touch down in front of the Judges
