For 2017, a new competition is being introduced for home-built free-flight models.
It will take place on a Summer evening when the weather is calm. All interested parties should enrol through the website - await a form for enrolment -  so that the arrival of suitable weather can initiate a short notice call for action.

Details of the competition are contained on the forum, under the free flight category - accessible to members only.

Suggested models would include most designs by Vic Smeed which are commonly available from Replikit and The Old School Model Company. The regularly used design for this kind of event is the Tomboy 36 which is simple to build and fly, using a Mills .75 or similar. There are loads of designs on Outerzone which can be downloaded for free.
